Our Anthem
"O DESPORTO AQUI PERDURA"

The anthem of the "European City of Sport 2026" bid highlights the values of unity and fraternity, emphasising the history of the municipality and the importance of each athlete in building a healthy territory that champions the well-being of every citizen.

Both the lyrics and the music were created by a writer and a composer from Albufeira, and the anthem is performed by a singer whose musical career began at the "Albufeira Children and Youth Arts Festival" in 2001. In this way, synergies were brought together between the artistic and sporting fields:
